Japan had its tsunami and nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Diiachi nuclear powerplant in March 2011.
Both a natural disaster, but more importantly for the OWO is the distrust in government for both:

1. Anger at the government allowing the nuclear facility to be constructed in the first place.
2. Anger at the government for its inept handling of the ongoing saga, declared safe and then explodes again, lack of decisiveness and lack of information make the government look stupid and ineffective.
